The AD5241  Analog Devices offers an ideal solution for most digital potentiometer applications. Learn how to use the AD5241 using our I²C Mini Module and take control of one onboard I²C controlled potentiometer with 256 taps. This version is equipped with a 10K digital Potentiometer (but 5K, 1M, and 100K are also available).  supports wiper read-back, allowing you to easily read the current wiper settings.

Digital Potentiometers are an ideal solution to replace many types of mechanical potentiometers, but we caution close examination of the datasheet to make sure your application is voltage compatible with the AD5241.

The AD5254 may also be used in:

  • programmable gain/offset control applications
  • programmable power supplies
  • programmable filters
  • low-resolution digital-to-analog conversion
  • LED brightness adjustment
  • sensor calibration applications.

This  is strictly limited to 5ma of current through the potentiometer. Voltages through the AD5241 potentiometer should NEVER exceed +5VDC at 5ma. This is also includes two user-programmable digital outputs for auxiliary control applications.
