Product Description

The AD5252 (from Analog Devices) offers an ideal solution for most digital potentiometer applications. Learn how to use the AD5252 using our I²C Mini Module and take control of 2 on-board I²C controlled potentiometers, each with 256 taps. This version is equipped with 100K digital potentiometers (but 1K, 10K, and 50K are also available). The supports wiper read-back, allowing you to easily read the current wiper settings.

Digital potentiometers are an ideal solution to replace many types of mechanical potentiometers, but we advise close examination of the datasheet to make sure your application is voltage compatible with the AD5252.

The AD5254 may also be used in:

  • programmable gain/offset control applications
  • programmable power supplies
  • programmable filters
  • low-resolution digital-to-analog conversion
  • LED brightness adjustment
  • sensor calibration applications.

The AD5252 is strictly limited to 5ma of current through each potentiometer. Voltages through the  potentiometers should NEVER exceed +5VDC at 5ma.
