Monitor energy using this 2-Channel 120V AC high-accuracy mains voltage monitor with IoT Interface. This controller is compatible with many of today’s IoT communication solutions, including Arduino, Particle Photon, Electron, WiPy, Bluz, ESP8266, and many more. This AC mains voltage monitor can be used to detect if there is an AC mains voltage is present, it can be used to detect phase voltage, power failure. This AC mains voltage monitor controller can be used with wifi, cellular, USB, Ethernet, RS485, RS232, wireless and much more. This AC mains voltage monitor can be used to log the AC mains voltage values and to analyze any kinds of peak voltage, faults, and failures. This AC voltage monitor controller can be used as an AC line voltage meter.
This 120V AC mains voltage monitor controller handles all Voltage calculations for energy monitoring applications. The Onboard controller takes thousands of samples and calculates realtime Vrms. Use our Particle library to communicate energy monitoring data to the Particle cloud or adapt our library for your specific application using the Arduino wire language.
This device provides an ideal energy monitoring solution for most industrial and commercial applications at a low cost with unmatched accuracy.
This controller includes 2 off-board Voltage sensors (transformers) for measuring 120VAC mains voltage with a typical accuracy exceeding 98%.
This controller uses I2C communications to talk to your favorite IoT communications module. Since I2C only requires 2 communication lines, all other GPIO are free for use in other applications.
What is the I2C Interface?
The supplier of plug and play modular hardware using the I2C Interface connector standard. It allows you to chain together several devices on the I2C bus, and communicate to each device individually at high speed (subject to the limitations of I2C). The I2C Interface uses a standard 4-Pin I2C Input and I2C Output connector. These devices communicate on the power of 5V I2C data and provide 5V DC power through this connector. The advanced embedded devices use standard I2C communications for all data transport, which is supported by nearly every microcontroller in production today. The I2C Interface is strictly a 5V standard, which is ideal for transport across longer cables. The device Package always includes a 6″ (152mm) 4-conductor I2C cable. The I2C based Mini Modules always include a 3″ (76mm) 4-conductor I2C cable. Cables and connectors are available separately for designers who would like to include their own I2C Interface into their designs.
Plug and Play Connectivity
These advanced Embedded devices will plug into any available I2C Output. This includes just about everything we make in the DCube Store IoT Category, including all the other IoT devices. We also supply a wide range of I2C adapters that make it easy to plug I2C Devices directly into most computing platforms. The advanced Interface adapters are available for Arduino, Banana Pi, BeagleBone, Bluz, C.H.I.P., ESP8266, Onion Omega, Particle Photon and Electron, PyCom, Raspberry Pi, 2, 3, and Zero, and Windows. We are always working to add new platform support for I2C devices. These Interface devices are compatible with just about everything in the microcontroller industry.
Unlimited I2C Expansion
Based on our plug-and-play I2C interface standard, all the I2C devices which are equipped with the above protocol output ports, making it easy to expand to a wide variety of sensors, current monitors, relay controllers, PWM controllers, and much more! We are always designing new expansions for our modular plug-and-play I2C framework. We are dedicated to building a product line of interconnected devices to simplify all forms of automation. Re-use or upgrade your hardware within seconds by selecting the modules that best fit your needs, and chaining them together using the included I2C expansion cables!
Powering I2C Interface Devices
Some I2C devices require an external power supply, others may be powered through the 4-Pin I2C bus connector at 5VDC, and other devices are jumper selectable between external and I2C bus power. All I2C mini-modules are powered through the 5V I2C bus connector, greatly simplifying connectivity.
